What it’s looked like from the very beginning! ✨

I‘ve been creative for as long as I can remember…

While you have absolutely joined me at the very beginning of my professional art journey, creativity has been with me from the very start & I feel like this profession has been a long time in the making!

One of my earliest memories is of my grandma, Honey, and I sitting at the coffee table drawing scenes of glittery green seaweed and brilliant orange gold fish. I was about 5 years old and I remember getting so upset when her scene turned out better than mine! My little brain didn’t understand just how many years of artistic experience she had on me. It was also one of the first times I realized that I wanted to become a better artist — and I did!

During my school years, I usually excelled at anything art-related. In college, I sold paintings to my sorority sisters when one of our requirements was to gift sorority-themed canvases to our “little sisters.”

When I first moved to Denver, Colorado, in my twenties, I hosted a paint night to get to know my new friends & always agreed to going on artsy outings!

Painting has always been something that brings me an ultimate kind of joy and somehow allows conversation to flow effortlessly. In fact, I’m sure you’ve heard of getting into a “flow-state”— and it’s true! I can absolutely get so absorbed in painting that the outside world fades away and I don’t feel the need to get up for hours!

Throughout my life, I’ve come back to painting again and again — and it’s no surprise that I find myself standing in front of a blank canvas again today. Only this time the blank canvas is the entire artistic journey before me! While I do have an idea of where I want it to take me, I’m discovering the path right along with you!

Thanks for being here! ✨
